At Northamptonshire Therapy, I offer different ways of working so you can choose what feels right for you, including the option to book sessions on weekends and evenings.
I offer traditional counselling in a private, welcoming space, where you can feel comfortable and at ease. You can choose between a peaceful countryside setting in Quinton (NN7), surrounded by nature, or a convenient, calm space in Northampton town centre (NN1). Each session lasts 50 minutes.
Outdoor therapy offers a chance to talk while enjoying gentle movement and the fresh air. It works much like regular therapy, but being in nature can help you feel calmer, more relaxed, and more able to open up. We’ll agree on a location when you book. Each session lasts 50 minutes.
Secure video sessions, giving you the flexibility to connect from the comfort of your own space when meeting in person isn’t possible. Just like face-to-face therapy, these sessions are shaped around your needs. Each session lasts 50 minutes.
A warm, client-led approach
You set the pace, and I provide a safe, supportive space to explore what matters to you. This approach is grounded in respect, compassion, and the belief that you already have the capacity for growth and change.
Helpful if you’re: feeling low, struggling with self-worth, processing difficult experiences, navigating relationship challenges, or going through times of change or uncertainty.
Many people find this work brings clarity, relief, and renewed confidence.
A structured, practical approach
This approach focuses on the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Together, we can explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop practical tools and strategies to help you manage challenges more effectively.
Helpful if you’re: experiencing anxiety, panic, or persistent worry; dealing with phobias or obsessive thoughts; struggling with stress; noticing unhelpful cycles of behaviour; or wanting clear strategies to support your daily life.
Many people find this approach brings insight, practical coping skills, and a greater sense of control over their day-to-day challenges.
You don’t need to decide right away whether person-centred counselling or CBT, or which setting is best for you. We can explore this together, and you’re free to adjust the way we work as things unfold.
Arrange a free introductory call to talk through your options and discover what feels like the best fit for you.
